The Lantern of False Attraction

Part I: The Lantern of False Attraction

Where many begin—drawn by sparks, not substance.

They met quickly. He admired her beauty; she admired his charm. They mistook attraction for alignment and rushed into a relationship. But soon, they struggled. Shallow conversations. Diverging values. Uneven faith. The thrill faded, and they were left with tension and confusion.

They had committed without clarity. Desired without discernment. And now they were trying to maintain something that had never been rooted.

This is where many of us begin. We chase the feeling, not the foundation. We want love, but we settle for chemistry. And when it falters, we wonder what went wrong. Finding fault with the other, but rarely examining our own short-comings.

Lesson

Authentic love is not found in the thrill of attraction but in the slow recognition of character. To rush into romance without discernment is to build on sand. To wait, to honor, to see someone as an equal first—that is to build on rock.
